Versace Bright Crystal - original vs fake

One of my favorite fragrances by Versace, Bright Crystal, is now available in the fake, supposedly, "Singapore Originals"...again everyone, there is no such item!  A real multinational company has no shame in printing where there items are made from.  In the so-called "Singapore Originals"  the Versace Bright Crystal says in the bottom of the box, "Made in Italy"....If this was truly made in Singapore, why doesn't it say Singapore???  Versace would have nothing to hide.  It just doesn't make any sense.  These are fakes or "class A" products made in China, nothing more, nothing less.  Here are tips on how to spot a fake Versace Bright Crystal:

1. The face:  They look the same at first glance, but the original on the left side of the photo, the font of VERSACE is not written as thickly as that of the fake.

2. The top of the box: This is quite obvious, in the original, the ridges that make up the design, it is punched down, making craters, while in the fake, the ridges are elevated.

3. The back of the box:  sad to say, but from the back of the box, I don't see any difference, just a few differences sa font.

4. The tube in the bottle:  Notice in the original, the length of the tube is in exact length from top to bottom, and its thin and very fine, almost invisible.  In the fake, the tube is too long, and big, very visible.

5. The color of the perfume:  the original is lighter in pink tone than the fake

6. The sticker at the bottom of the bottle:  difference is in the font style and quality of the sticker, I was surprised that the fake also has a code stamped.

7. The cap: not much of a difference, I felt that the original cap has sharper edges and the fake has rounder edges.  They look nearly the same as well.

victoria's secret garden body mist - original vs fake

Being in the health and beauty industry for several years, and a personal perfume collector, it has come to our attention that there has been a splurge in the market of so-called "Singapore Original"  perfumes and "Hong Kong Version" Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works.  Shame on these sellers for confusing the public and making people believe that there are such products.  First and foremost, there are no such things, if one were to visit Singapore and Hong Kong, such products won't be found.  That's because these products are made in China.  They are fakes.  Nothing more and nothing less.  Many sellers, especially online, have been deceiving the public, and making it even more difficult for sellers of original fragrances to do business.   We are fed up with these fakes and we'd like to dedicate this blog entirely in spotting the differences between the fakes and originals.

On the pictures, we have two bottles of Victoria's Secret Body Mist in Pure Seduction, can you tell which is the original and which is the fake?  At first glance, they seem similar, but there are several details that we can spot differentiating the two.

1.  the cap - the cap of the original is clear, while the fake is slightly tinted.

2.  the sprayer - the sprayer of the original shimmers/sparkles, while the fake is shiny, but plain, no shimmering effect.  And also, just below the sprayer, in the original, there are three small grooves for a solid closure of the cap, while in the fake, there is only one big groove for the cap closure.

3.  the inside tube - the tube of the original is slim and the spring on the top part is visible, while on the fake, the tube is wider, less clear

4.  the content - if you smell straight from the bottle, you can smell the alcohol in the original, being that its alcohol-based, while the fake, seems to be water-based.

...as for the sticker, its frightening, but the are nearly the same.  There are slight differences in the print of the fonts, but barely.  We also noticed that the bottle of the original is softer than that of the fakes.

We hope this has helped the consumers in seeing the differences between the original and the fake, and we also hope this helps for sellers who stay true in selling original fragrances.
